About this route
In the official numbering of the Via Francigena from the Great St Bernard, this is stage #6. Section of the Francigena that leaves the Aosta Valley and enters Piedmont, notable for the San Lorenzo Complex, the Romanesque Church, and the Montestrutto castle. Then you enter the largest moraine in Europe with Lake Pistono, and at the end of the stage Ivrea awaits us with its Red Towers sung by Carducci.
