About This Route

Start this day stage towards north to Vila do Bispo, village where the famous conquer Vasco da Gama lived. It is one the few places in the Algarve where the wild nature blended with the historic and cultural heritage remains intact. Cycling southern toward the coastline again you will pass small traditional villages as Figueira, Burgau and Aldeia da Luz, through the narrow roads in the small and very typical country side villages that you’ll pass and their distinctive architecture and painting – white washed houses with bands of color around the windows and doors. Just before you arrive in Lagos don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Ponta da Piedade, of the Algarve famous postcards.
