Jakobsweg Etappe 11 - Via Podiensis: Condom - Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port CLONED FROM ROUTE 524679

Mostly along the historic Way of St. James with some changes, as the footpath is not paved. Condom is a charming little town. Eauze and Pimbo also feature old impressive little churches. Navarrenx impresses with its fully preserved city wall! We are heading towards the Pyrenees: the mountains get a bit higher, the views once again spectacular. This stage leads to the bustling town of St-Jean-Pied-de-Port. The old town center, as is often the case, is only seen when you leave the main road. Also in this town, the city walls, a work of the defensive architect Vauban, are well preserved. Here you also get an early glimpse of the many Way of St. James souvenir shops in Santiago. The pilgrim's hostel, where you get the stamp, is located in the upper part of the old town. The stamp from the tourist office can best be described as plain.
