About this route
a small introduction to the Vosges, scenically beautiful with a great descent to Turkheim. From the starting point, it is flat to Breisach, then crossing the border into Alsace to Colmar. In Colmar, go straight towards Ingersheim. In Ingersheim, take the second fork towards Trois Epis (after the bridge towards Niederorschwihr). From now on, it’s uphill. Niederorschwihr is a lovely idyllic village at the foot of the Vosges. Now the mountain begins. The descent to Turkheim is a well-built road. The route is also popular with motorcyclists. The way back is again flat through the Rhine plain.
