Circuit 4 de Vielsalm (MT Vielsalm)

This long circuit will require all your sporting qualities. It will take you to the top of our municipality and our province at the Baraque de Fraiture (Alt. 654 m). Follow the water body and leave the VIELSALM train station on your right. A small paved hill will bring you to the main road, which you will take for a few meters before turning right. Go over the railway line and immediately afterwards to the left you follow the Basse Ville (Alt. 380 m) through the gorge of the Fosse Roulette. Once at the center of the village of Salmchâteau, cross and after a ford you will arrive at the Coticule museum (Alt. 485 m) (former workshop for making razor stones). At this point, a small wooden bridge will allow you to cross over to the other bank of the Glain (Salm). Head left and then right towards the village of Provedroux (Alt. 485 m). You will leave the main road to take a right turn onto a field path. When you reach the paved road, you will have the option of continuing straight to join circuit N°3 'at ROGERY. To continue with circuit N°4, take the paved road to the right for about 1 km. Then enter the forest to the right. Shortly after, you will have the option to shorten your route by heading right towards the Fagne de Mirenne (Alt 530 m) (shortcut of 1.5 km towards Joubiéval with the possibility of joining circuit 1 at the pass of AI Hesse). If you continue straight on circuit N°4, be attentive because you will need to change direction to the left at the next descent. A small climb will bring you to the Fagne du Clair Chêne (Alt. 550 m). You will then descend towards the village of Petite Langlire (Alt. 515 m). Cross the main road to take, straight ahead, the small paved road to the right. One kilometer later, by passing to the left on the Bièvre Bridge (Alt. 520 m), you will reach the forest. After a slight ascent, you will need to turn right towards the Bois des Roches (Alt. 550 m) and you will arrive at the village of Bihain (Alt. 580 m). When you reach the paved road, you will still have the option to shorten your route by going straight down and then left towards the village of Regné. (Shortcut of 3.5 km between Bihain and Regné). To continue with circuit N°4, head left in the village of Bihain. Upon leaving this hamlet, you will reach, on the left, the forest, where a beech-lined avenue will lead you near the E25 motorway. Turn right twice towards Petites Tailles (Alt. 600 m). In this village, leave the main road to go left towards the nature reserve and the Fagne of Plateau des Tailles (Alt. 600 m). At the exit of the forest, you will take left for about 300 meters on the main road. Leave it to the right and as you reach a paved road, head left for about one hundred meters. Take a right through the fields and you will reach the Baraque de Fraiture (Alt. 654 m) and its alpine and cross-country ski slopes. Marking: red triangle on 2 circles.
