ILEK Börderegion: Nord-Ost-Erlebnisroute

On this approximately 37 km long adventure route through the northeast of the Börde region, the fun of ‚cycling‘ through the various impressions and enjoying the rural charm certainly won't be missed. The starting point is the village of Hohenhameln. In particular, the natural swimming pool ‚Pfannteich‘ with a mini-golf course is worth a detour for families with children. But many more attractions, sights, and leisure opportunities along the way await you, deserving your attention. The bike route passes through the village of Harber by the natural monument ‚Eiche‘ and leads to Groß Lobke, where you can learn about the history of the vinyl record at the local gramophone museum. Also well worth visiting is the Gothic rubble stone chapel in Ummeln before you head towards Sehnde along the branch canal to explore, for example, the Bolzum lock. Following the route through the village of Rethmar with its remarkable manor, you reach the listed timber-framed chapel in Dolgen through a small woodland. Then, beautiful views await at the canal bridge near Mehrum, or after passing through the village of Equord with the ‚Little St. Peter's Basilica‘ and the manor in the background, you can take a short break at the resting place by the oak between Equord and Stedum. Afterward, you cycle through the small village of Ohlum with its idyllic village pond back to Hohenhameln.
