The Biber-Burgen-Tour is the first cycling route in the region to offer you a Pocket-PC as a guest guide. Starting from Lenzen Castle or the Tourist Information in Gartow, where you can rent your individual 'Ranger' (rental fee €9.00 per device plus a deposit of €150.00 or ID card), you can explore on an approximately 45-kilometer circular tour one of the most beautiful sections of the Elbe River Biosphere Reserve. Twice you cross the large river by ferry and are safely guided to 30 experience stations along the route with the help of the navigation system. With the audio commentary, you will learn, for example, interesting facts about Gartower Lake or the impressive floodplain forest 'Elbholz', can view images of typical plants and animals of the region at the press of a button, and learn, for example, the call of the white-tailed eagle through an audio recording. A special puzzle fun for children makes the tour an unforgettable experience for the whole family.
