Große Runde Schwalmstadt

Family-friendly route, primarily on paths away from vehicular traffic, with moderate inclines.

Start and end: Parking lot at the nature learning area in Treysa, about 3 minutes by bike from the station (up Bahnhofstraße, straight into Zwalmstraße, left at the viaduct into Wiegelsweg).

Initially, the route follows the Schwalm-Radweg towards Borken. At Allendorf, it changes to the R4 towards Ziegenhain. Shortly after the high-voltage line, it diverges left from the R4, passes by Wolfshainsiedlung, through Zeigerich to Leimsfeld, from there a bit on the R14 towards Ziegenhain, but then at the edge of the Schützenwald turns left through the forest, over the district road to Niedergrenzebach; in Ziegenhain, you meet again with the Schwalm-Radweg, which you follow towards Borken (Treysa).
