Radtouren auf ehemaligen Bahntrassen im Kreis Stormarn | Tour C: Trittau - Glinde - Reinbek

Undisturbed by car traffic, one cycles along a flat track through picturesque landscapes, experiencing the views just like the train travelers of old from the window of their compartment. Along the way, one comes across old station buildings, which are often apartments or restaurants. Old goods sheds, engine sheds, and warehouses still testify to the important transshipment points that once existed along the railway lines.

The three routes that traverse the entire Stormarn district are characterized by a very diverse and varied environment, shaped by forests, lakes, and the regionally typical hedged landscapes. Along the way, there are many characteristic Holstein villages and small towns, as well as impressive manor houses and old mills. Special highlights include the Grabau Nature Experience Park and one of the longest fruit tree educational trails in Europe between Bad Oldesloe and Grabau (and further into the Segeberg district).
