Jesteburger Mühlentour

Easy-to-ride paths, mostly paved, slight inclines, flat route. Very varied in terms of landscape - meadows, fields, and forest. You start in the center of Jesteburg at Niedersachsenplatz and ride along the main road towards Lüllau/Hanstedt. Follow the curve on Brückenstraße and cross the Seeve river. Turn right onto Schierhorner Weg. Now continue straight out of town and through the forest, turn left onto Hasseler Weg and left again onto Bossardweg. At Kunststätte Bossard you have the opportunity to visit the site. On the first Sunday of every month from May to September, family days take place here. From 2:30 to 4:30 pm, creative courses for children are offered. Parents can experience the total artwork on a guided tour or relax at the courtyard café with coffee and cake. Then return along Bossardweg, turn right onto Hasseler Weg and continue slightly downhill to the intersection. Now turn left onto Seeveweg along the Seeve stream, continue along Schierhorner Straße at the curve, then along Seevestraße, always along meadows and fields until it ends in Holm. Here continue right to Gut Holm with the restored Holmer watermill. A look at the estate is also worthwhile; you will find old, large, well-maintained trees, a well-kept manor house, and if you are lucky, the small old estate chapel will be open for viewing. We return to the road and ride right onto the bike path towards Holm-Seppensen. At the second traffic light, we turn right onto 'Weg zur Mühle', which leads directly to the romantic mill pond. Unfortunately, only the building of the watermill remains, but with a little imagination you can envision where the water wheel once turned. After circling the pond, go left up a small hill with a beautiful panoramic view. The path leads to Thelstorfer Straße; from here, turn left onto the bike path into Lüllau. At the end of the town, the bike path switches to the left side of the road and leads us back alongside the road to Jesteburg.
