About this route
A 4-hour MTB route, mostly dirt, lots of hilly sections, plus one long technical downhill down to Las Garitas, and one heavy duty climb up to La Hormiga. Only asphalt is from Los Puentes to El Naranjito, and Las Garitas to Majagual. In short, lots of variety.
Great circular tour (apart from first section) and you can start almost anywhere, but I do not recommend doing it in reverse. The technical downhill is a case of carrying the bike up.
Great countryside, great views of Bay of Samaná. Plenty of places to get snacks.
