About this route
Very beautiful, easy-to-ride, flat route suitable also for children. It starts and ends at the Wiesenmeisterei in Tuckhude. Low car traffic. The route passes through a bird sanctuary with sea eagles and ospreys and, depending on the season, thousands of geese and cranes, along the horse pastures of the Schockemöhle stud farm with several hundred beautiful pedigree horses. Along the way, there is the possibility to rest at the Friedrichsmoor hunting lodge, visit the horses housed there and enjoy hearty refreshments. It is possible to take a horseback riding trip with advance booking (14 days). Public transport connection is available from Hamburg. If desired, the route can start at the Neustadt-Glewe train station.
