Hermann-Löns-Radtour

The tour begins at the train station of Hermann-Löns town and first leads through the urban area of Walsrode. Passing the monastery, town hall, Hermann Löns monument, Heidemuseum and fitness pool, you will leave Walsrode after about 5 km and head through forest and fields to the Heidebackhaus Walsrode/Honerdingen.

Browse and sample fresh baked goods from the World Bird Park region in the large bakery. The excursion continues along the Tietlingen golf club and passes by the grave of Hermann Löns. Then it goes along the 'Eibia', a local recreation area of the Vogelpark region, to the Forellenhof Hünzingen, from where you can take a carriage ride to the 'Bottomless Lake with Moor'. The 2 meter deep lake is 435 meters long from north to south and up to 160 meters wide in the northern area. It has an area of 4.7 ha and is located 72.5 meters above sea level. The last stage leads to the World Bird Park and the climbing forest Forest4Fun. From here, it takes about 20 minutes by bike to return to the starting point, the Walsrode train station.
