Lietbekaroute

Hiking route starting and ending at "De Mot" (mote = an artificial, walled accumulation with a farm or castle on it). Today, De Mot and its surroundings are known as a playground for youth movements. The route continues past the gingerbread factory 'Vondelmolen', the Lebbeke train station, and onward to the center of Lebbeke (with numerous hospitality establishments). Of course, you will pass by the historic Onze-Lieve-Vrouw church and the 'hofken van 7 weken' (a protected vista). Lietbeka is the first known name of Lebbeke.
