It takes at least 4 days to do it round trip. Alternatively, you can take the train in Salerno for the return (it takes 2 hours, extra 3.50 euros for the bike). You mainly follow the ex-SS 88 'dei due principati', then after Salerno the coastal road SP175a and after Agropoli the SS 267. Very beautiful landscapes, especially the province of Irpinia and from Agropoli onwards. Asphalt not always good. Campsites, beaches, and restaurants in abundance after Pontecagnano. The most difficult stretch is on the way back, the climb to Forino, but it’s only 7 km. Note: On the coastal road at the height of Eboli, there is a bike path of 26 km but it is impassable. VARIANTS: Near Paestum you can make a slight detour to visit the Excavations (they are worth it). Near Santa Maria di Castellabate you can leave the state road and go down to visit the seaside village (picturesque). Near the small port of San Marco di Castellabate, you can take a small road, unpaved and very damaged, that leads to Punta Licosa, avoiding private surveillance (when they then discover you, they only limit themselves to making you exit at the entrance of Ogliastra Marina). For the more heroic, you can make a visit to Castellabate, but the climb is really tough and significantly lengthens the route.
