Salva-Bichigiu-Suplai-Zagra-Mocod-Salva

Easy ride at the weekend. I drove to Salva, from there by bike it is easy to ride on asphalt until almost Telciu where you turn left (the intersection with a beautiful cross). Up to this point you can take a break at the George Coșbuc memorial house and the wooden bridge over Salauța. From the intersection, you continue on an unpaved country road passing through Bichigiu where you can see both new houses (some imported) and traditional old houses. Exiting Bichigiu you turn left towards the Monastery of the Holy Trinity (a sign indicates 1Km to the monastery, but the distance is a bit longer) climbing a bit more steeply to the intersection of three roads (Suplai, Runcu Salvei, Bichigiu) where the monastery is situated.

The Bichigiu Monastery is run by Father Abbot Ilie Cira. Here you can take a moment of comfort and strengthening in faith by entering the monastery church.

Next to the monastery there is a small lake, and on the hill near the monastery there are three graves where the former abbot of the monastery and the former landowners on which the monastery is situated are buried. After a well-deserved break and with batteries charged, you can continue the tour either towards Runcu Salvei or towards Suplai. I chose the option through Supmai, where you climb a bit more to the top of the hill from where I take another picture towards the monastery, and then begin a descent to a spring where I refill and after a cross and a 'Lord help me' descend to Suplai where at the intersection you turn left towards Poienile Zagrei. From Zagra you go back on asphalt to Mocod where you turn towards Salva.
