The first part goes to Teltow directly along the canal. After briefly passing through Kleinmachnow, it goes past the lock into unpaved terrain. After getting through this part (which mainly goes through the woods), the return trip is mainly on asphalt, as being a beginner - like I am - by this time you are already relatively worn out and asphalt definitely makes riding a lot easier.

Definitely not suitable for road bikes!
