Dall’entroterra alla costa: tra Lanciano e San Vito, un viaggio nella Frentania

This route is a pleasant journey to discover the dual face of the Frentano area, capable of enchanting the visitor both with the rural and countryside landscape of the more inland areas and with the languid marine scenery of the Adriatic coast of the Trabocchi. The itinerary mainly develops on unpaved trails through woods, olive groves, and vineyards, whose lush greenery overflows onto the path of the hikers. From the municipality of Lanciano, it touches the territory of Treglio, passing through the small wood in the Fosso dello Spirito Santo, and San Vito Chietino to finally return to Lanciano, following the course of the Feltrino river. The district of Santa Giusta, encountered at the end of the route, hosts a splendid church of the same name, with a 13th-century architectural structure, which assumed its current appearance in 1860.
