Cycling to Boekel from Esdonk Chappel

Cycle from village to village, through the agricultural landscape of Brabant and the beautiful nature of small forest areas. You start in cozy Boekel at Brasserie de Mouthoeve. Enjoy a nice lunch with a drink when you come back here later. This bike tour also offers you the necessary dose of cultural history. The castle of Gemert is also worth a visit. The main building was built in 1740, on a cellar vault of the original castle from 1391. Southwest of the inner gate is a corner pavilion from 1563 with cantilevered turrets and stair turrets at the corners. There is also front gate which was put up about 1600. The castle is surrounded by a park, which consists of extensive farmlands with several farms. In short: a wonderful cultural and natural route. This environment is never boring!
