Calalzo di Cadore-Conegliano

MTB bike trip from Brenner to Venice. In the first part, starting from Brenner, we first followed the Isarco cycle path, then the Puster Valley cycle path, passing through Colle Isarco, Vipiteno, Fortezza, Rio Pusteria, Brunico, Monguelfo and reaching Dobbiaco.

In the second part, we rode the Dolomites Cycle Path, which from Dobbiaco leads to Cortina and Calalzo di Cadore.

In this third part, we continue to Longarone, Lake Santa Croce, Vittorio Veneto and arrive at Conegliano.

Long stage but not too demanding. The descent continues finishing the Cadore valley. There is no more dedicated cycle path now, but it is like there is one as the old provincial road is disused. The Piave River (a river sacred to the homeland) is crossed and the towns of Longarone and Vajont are passed. Finally, also riding about ten kilometers on the Via Regia cycle path, you arrive at Lake Santa Croce which is skirted almost along its entire length. The Lake Morto and the smaller Lake Restello are also passed. The region changes too, crossing from Friuli Venezia Giulia to Veneto. The town of Vittorio Veneto is crossed and always on mixed road you arrive at Conegliano with some small climbs.
