Overview

About this route

2

The start and finish point is the furthest parking lot in Leutasch / Salzbach (of course, fee applies!!!!). The path leads uphill towards Gaistal and along the Gaistalweg beside the Leutascher Ache, continuing westwards, passing the turnoff to Gaistalalm (1369 m), then on to Tillfussalm (1382 m), from there to the Gaistal lift valley station. From here the route continues to Igelsee, which is usually dried up in summer, and then on to the junction with the Ehrwalder-Alm path. From there, a sometimes rather rough path leads southwest uphill to Seeben Alm (1566 m), which is bypassed. Finally, the route heads south to the destination, the Seebensee. It is possible to continue approximately 500 m along the lake to the 'valley station' of the material cable car leading up to Coburger Hut, which is also the highest point of the tour at 1666 m above sea level. The return route follows the same path back to the starting point: Leutasch / Salzbach.
