Etap 7 Bomal - Spa

The route follows the RAVeL of the Ourthe, delighting hikers. Let yourself drift along this bucolic river... As you approach Comblain-au-Pont, the itinerary leaves the peaceful valley to climb towards the plateaus of Condroz. Charming hamlets present themselves to you: Fraiture, Presseux, and Rouvreux are characterized by stone houses from the quarries of the Ourthe valley. From the summit of the Redoute, the small road joins Deigné, which was once a land of pastoralism with its rocky soil. The village has preserved its narrow alleys and limestone walls. The numerous chantoirs, underground cavities, see the streams disappear only to reappear downstream. The path continues up to the heights of the village: an opportunity to contemplate the beautiful landscape of this region situated between Condroz and Ardenne. To the west, lush meadows extend with gentler relief, while to the east, sandstone and shale areas are covered with forests that you reach towards Haut-Regard. You cross a high plateau where the hamlet of Vert-Buisson nestles. A long descent through living hedges leads you to Winamplanche to finally take the connecting route to the spa town of Spa.
