Z Filipova údolí na Velkou Javořinu

The start is at the hotel in Filipov Valley. We head towards Megovka, but after a third of the way, we turn onto the blue marked trail towards Nová Lhota and then to Vápenky. It's a 'bit' of a climb for warming up. From Vápenky, we follow the yellow marked trail to the stone hut and then around the Velička spring to Javořina. It's a demanding 13 km of continuous climbing. At Javořina, we'll enjoy a well-deserved beer and then it's off on the red marked trail towards the Dibrov monument. From there we take the green marked trail to Šibeniční vrch and down to the valley towards Megovka. From Kubíkova vrch, it's a fantastic downhill ride. At first, you can go around the meadow through the forest and then back through the meadow into the forest. And from Megovka, it's just a gentle descent that you can bike back to the start at the Filipov hotel. For geocachers, there are about 6 caches along the route.
