Lenzen - Pevestorfer Wiesen - Alant-Niederung - Schnackenburg - Lenzen

You cycle through a rich riparian landscape at the crossroads of Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt. The Elbe and its tributaries, Aland and Seege, have shaped this region. Much of its natural character has been preserved due to its location on the former inner-German border. The creation of the Elbe Biosphere Reserve now allows for the long-term protection and further development of the species-rich wet meadows, buffer zones, riparian forests, and the many bodies of water.
The circular route through the Pevestorf meadows, the lowlands of the Seege and Aland, and along the relocated Elbe dike near Lenzen (moved back in 2009), can, for example, be ridden with rental bikes (available in Gartow or Lenzen). In these varied habitats, you can observe, among others, cranes and lapwings, grey and great egrets, storks, and other wading birds. Refreshment stops are possible in Pevestorf, Gartow, Schnackenburg, Lütkenwisch, and Lenzen.
