Senderos Rio Palancia 2011

Starting from the source of the 50 fountains in Segorbe, we cross the river by the bridge and keep right, ascending through the chalet residential area. Once near the top, we take a dirt path leading to the Salto de la Novia trail, offering wonderful views during the descent. Be careful, there are two tricky curves where it's better to dismount, but the rest can be ridden down to Salto de la Novia. We continue through Navajas to join the greenway (Vía Verde). Upon reaching Jérica, we turn left to descend to the river and then follow the riverside path upstream to the Randurias spring, where we refill our bottles. Crossing the bridge, we proceed upstream for several kilometers. We then turn right for a short but tough climb, followed by a descent seeking the bridge to cross again and find the famous water slides, which I recommend to everyone. We exit into the urban area of Jérica to rejoin the greenway heading towards the Regajo reservoir. We continue riding downstream along trails to Segorbe. (7/05/11)
