About this route

The route runs along the eastern foothills of the Naab mountains and is also suitable for road bikes. The start and end point is the turnoff to Irrenlohe at the southern edge of Deiselkühn. At Etsdorf, there's a detour to the Asphalt Chapel (road cyclists beware: the last 70 meters are gravel or unpaved). At Ragenhof, there is a beautiful view of the Eixlberg near Pfreimd with the pilgrimage church of St. Barbara. Between Pfreimd and Haindorf, there is a view of the Romanesque church of Perschen. The route can also be ridden counterclockwise, but I would not recommend it because between Untersteinbach and Ragenhof there is an approximately 1.4 km climb with two sections of about 200 meters each, each with around 12% gradient. Personally, I prefer to ride that part downhill!
