It starts with a ride downhill through the Oedental down to the B54, then it goes along the Volme with barely noticeable climbing towards Brügge. At Ahelle, the route leaves the B54 again and leads along a road closed to cars through the beautiful Mintenbeck Valley, passing pastures and isolated farms towards Neuenhof Castle. After a short breather on a flat stretch, it goes once again vigorously uphill and back through the city of Lüdenscheid.
