About this route
La Trappa si trova sul versante sinistro orografico della Valle Elvo, a 8 km da Oropa.
La Strada provinciale 512 denominata “Tracciolino” collega Oropa alla località Pontile di Andrate. In origine avrebbe dovuto costituire la prosecuzione della nota Panoramica Zegna. Il percorso alterna lunghi tratti in piano sui 1000 metri di quota a saliscendi che movimentano l’andatura.
Fondo stradale. Gli ultimi 4 km partendo da Oropa sono a fondo naturale, il resto presenta asfalto in condizioni non ottimali (anno 2021).
A Oropa, alla partenza, sono consigliabili consigliabile la visita al Giardino botanico del WWF e la visita al sacro monte, il piĂą alpino, ma anche il meno noto dei sacri monti piemontesi inseriti fra i beni UNESCO.
