Einweihungsrunde

As a starting point, the large parking lot at the outskirts of Windach is recommended. From there, you cycle over very good gravel paths and a short section of country road to Hechenwang. In Hechenwang, turn right into Flächeweg street. This leads onto a concrete path which you follow up to the state road. After crossing the state road, you continue on a gravel path. Along the rest of the route, you partly follow the Ammerseehöhenweg trail until at Dexenberg you cross another state road to descend to Holzhausen and the shore of the Ammersee. After a very quiet ride on picturesque and well-developed field and forest paths, the tour along the lake becomes livelier. In good weather, you may encounter some pedestrians and cyclists on weekends. This is compensated by the many beautiful shoreline sections, beer gardens, and sights. Follow the Ammersee shore until Schondorf. In Schondorf, the route climbs again – initially through the town. From the town exit on Lindenstraße, cyclists find themselves again on the region's well-maintained paths. With a consistent gentle climb, the route returns to the starting point – the parking lot in Windach.
