About this route
Die Tour führt uns ins Naturschutzgebiet 't Sohr - Teil des Maasparks Ooijen-Wanssum. Der ehemals tote Maasarm wurde 2012 so umgebaut, dass er in Trockenperioden als Wasserspeicher fungiert und bei Hochwasserständen das Wasser ableiten kann.
Im Naturschutzgebiet wechseln sich Grasland, Reisig, Schilf und Feuchtgebiete ab. Seltene Vogelarten, Biber und eine große Herde schottischer Hochlandrinder bilden eine interessante Fauna.
't Sohr ist ein gutes Beispiel dafür, wie man mehrere Ziele vereinen kann. Sicherheit für den Menschen, gesunde Natur und Naturerlebnis.
