Easy day and one of the most beautiful! Very senic all the way into Courtenay. Stop at the Mountain City Cycles just before the Green Bridge (there's a hostel just across the street)

Sidney to Butchart Gardens

This is the route my wife and I took when visiting Butchart Garden's this summer. Starting on the Lockside Trail this route is very mellow. Vehicle traffic is only bad along Nt Newton Cross Rd but then tapers off midway on Wallace Dr becoming beautiful once in Brentwood Bay.
