The Miao33 route is 13.84 kilometers long. The front section (north of Taiwan Route 1, from Zhonghe Village in Tongxiao to Nangang) features many wind turbines and hill landscapes. The famous Cape of Good Hope viewing platform is located along this stretch. The rear section (south of Taiwan Route 1, in Xihu Township) is rich in rural scenery. Points of interest include Xuanwang Palace (located at the intersection of Miao33 and Miao35) and the Liu En-Kuan old residence (Pengcheng Hall).
