A collection of 28 cycling routes.

Overview

About this collection

A legendary multi-stage ride across the Swiss Alps. Alpine Bike links the Engadine to Lake Geneva with a mix of gravel and tracks, quiet roads, and a few short links on busier tarmac. Think big climbs, high passes, balcony trails, and constant wow-factor views—glaciers, lakes, meadows, and vineyards. It’s signposted as SwitzerlandMobility Route 1, so navigation is easy. Do the whole traverse or cherry-pick stages—rail connections make logistics simple. Best season is summer to early autumn; snow can linger up high and storms roll in fast, so pack layers and check the forecast. Expect long days and real elevation gain, with plenty of villages for food, water, and coffee stops. Great for strong riders who enjoy a mix of MTB and gravel on classic Alpine terrain.
