Cycling day trip from Budakalász to Pilisszentkereszt

This cycling route takes you from Budakalász, a small town just north of Budapest—well-loved for its riverside scenery and chilled vibes—into the heart of the Pilis Mountains, ending at the forested village of Pilisszentkereszt. You’ll roll out from the Danube’s edge on mostly quiet roads and smooth asphalt before heading deeper into green, hilly terrain. Most of the ride is paved, but a little gravel and some unpaved stretches add a touch of adventure, so wide tires help.
