One step in front of the other, this wandering takes me where the land meets the river, in an oasis of peace and carefree that floods my mind. As I stroll through the lush green grass, the ideas that crowd my head gradually take shape. Here, where the Bacchiglione mixes with clay, right at the height of Dueville, I carve out a moment only for myself, away from the noise of the city. Just the sound of bubbling water and the chirping of birds. In ancient times, this river was known as Edrone, while my people gave it its current name, from "bacajare", which means to chatter, to make noise in my language, because its bubbling, on days of flooding, resembles the chatter of us human beings. With a clear mind, I am ready to return to my beloved villas.
