About this route
Route of the Burgos Con Bici (BCB) Association through Extremadura. November 2011
Route through the rice fields and the Dehesa near Moheda Alta.
Short circular route on gravel and dirt tracks starting from the Albergue de Moheda Alta, crossing several rice fields, an olive grove, and the Dehesa. Passes by the ornithological viewpoints of the periurban park of Navalvillar de Pela.
Especially interesting during the cranes' wintering period (mainly Nov-Feb).
If the terrain is very wet, the return from the Convenio viewpoint to the hostel through the interior of the dehesa is not recommended as it can be very muddy. The recommended return option is to take the regional road Ex116.
Next to the Albergue there is an interesting Visitor Reception Center – Environmental Interpretation and a bar-restaurant.
