About this route
- Monday, August 18, 2008 - 10th and final Stage:<br />Katrineholm - Gnesta + train + Stockholm - Lidingo<br />Cloudy weather and rain<br />With a heavy heart, we leave the Duveholm Herrgard at 8:30.<br />The sky is cloudy and it's about 17 degrees when we set off for this last transfer stage. On the state roads 55 to Flen and 57 to Gnesta, we cross the entire Sörmland region from west to east. At 12:30, soaked from the frequent drizzle, we arrive at the Gnesta train station. It's a shame to see such a beautiful place in such weather. After eating and regaining our strength, we take the commuter train to Södertälje and here we change and take another train that will take us to the central station in Stockholm, where we arrive at 15:30. The last 10 km of effort to cross the city and reach Flavio's house on the quiet island of Lidingo.<br />Thus, we have completed our long journey through the regions of Sörmland and Östergötland, lasting 10 days, cycling 627 km with about 4000 meters of elevation.
