About This Route

Despite a terrible weather forecast of a storm, our ride was comfortable with the plus of a 20mph strong tail wind. Will wonders never cease. FM1488 was great up until Magnolia. However, from Magnolia east all the way to Conroe, there was far too much traffic. FM1488 had great road shoulder for the bulk of this ride. However, there were a few miles in the first part of the ride where a deep rumble strip was in the middle of the bike lane. Whoever design this should be shot. Lager, in Magnolia and later after Egypt, there was construction that meant that we lost our road shoulder. Hopefully, the construction now going on (March 2025) will quickly get finished for the benefit of future bicycle riders.
