Loop course Forchheim, Ebermannstadt, Heiligenstadt, Burggrub, Teuchatz, Mistendorf, Wernsdorf, Friesen, Buttenheim, Eggolsheim

Start in Forchheim/Reuth towards Ebermannstadt. With the exception of a few very short sections, you will always ride on the bike path, and the inclines are negligible. From Ebermannstadt, continue to Gasseldorf, also an asphalted bike path. From Gasseldorf, keep to the Leinleiterradweg (well signposted), which is mostly on the embankment of the old railway line from Ebermannstadt to Heiligenstadt, until you reach Burggrub. Overall, the route rises slightly here. After Burggrub, I continued towards Teuchatz (road). Here you have to overcome the biggest and longest ascent. The incline stretches for about 3 km. From Teuchatz, the path leads down to Zeegendorf, over the Teuchatzer Berg. Make sure to check the brakes one more time before going down. Long ago, it was not allowed to ride down on a bike, now the sign is gone. Nevertheless, be careful; anyone who goes straight in a curve would not be the first cyclist to be scraped off the road or pulled out of the old quarries. From Zeegendorf, I then went through the country roads first to Mistendorf (first down the mountain and then let it roll back up, very pleasant) and from there continued on to Leesten. Leesten, Wernsdorf, at the entrance to the village, turn left up towards Friesen. Also a long ascent in gentle serpentines, but not as difficult as from Burggrub to Teuchatz. From Friesen to Seigendorf and then on to Buttenheim. In Seigendorf, there is currently (2009) a permanent construction site. People with thin rims should therefore be careful. Then continue to Unterstürmig, Eggolsheim. After Eggolsheim, first head towards Bammersdorf, but then do not enter Bammersdorf, but turn right and continue straight to Forchheim. There, I then wound my way back home through the residential areas. (cloned from route 214654)
