Covarrubias-Ura-Castroceniza-Retuerta-Covarrubias

Departure from Covarrubias through the El Arrabal neighborhood continuing to the Redonda hermitage. After the hermitage, take the road to Puentedura and turn left at the second intersection, here we enter a trail among the junipers and begin a gentle climb until reaching a wide track. We continue to the left for about 700 meters and take the road to the right which begins to descend on a wide track. As we descend, we approach the Ura canyon and the track turns into a very rocky and steep trail. With great caution, even putting a foot down on some technical sections, we descend to the village of Ura. We continue to the right and cross the Mataviejas river canyon on a trail that leads us to Castroceniza. In the village, we take the track on the left which with a moderate slope leads us to a wide track that we take to the left and which leads us to the Covarrubias to Silos road. We cross the road and descend along it for 50 meters and take the track to the right which leads us downhill to Retuerta. We cross the village and along the river we climb a path to reach the high point. Descent and exit to Piélago in Covarrubias. Very beautiful route, with some tricky sections descending to Ura. On the map, I did not take the road in the village of Castroceniza itself and had to walk up and down a hill to access the path. It was a mistake of mine that you should avoid.
