Steinbachwaldweg

Starting point Hauptplatz Burgau – along Herrengasse and Fürstenfelderstraße to the Leidensmann Chapel. Turn right onto Forsthausweg through the little wood to the "Müllner Kreuz". Continue straight on the gravel road into Galgenwald, past the forester's house and the barrier. This is where the local gallows were once set up, and those condemned to death could say their last prayer at the "Gallows Cross" (Pietà), right by the path. At the fork, continue straight, briefly downhill, then cross a small bridge. Here, walk straight uphill and follow this path. At the two forks, keep left (you also pass a small barrier). Always straight ahead, slightly downhill. Passing the information board of Kleinsteinbach, cross a small bridge and turn left onto the asphalt road. About 100 m straight ahead to the downhill section to Kleinsteinbach. Here you leave the asphalt road and turn right onto the gravel road. At the forest edge about 200 m further, then turn left and finally turn right onto the asphalt road. Continue on this road towards Obergfangen, passing a Christmas tree plantation and a pig enclosure, to the town sign of Obergfangen. On the main road continue straight ahead, past Buschenschank Kober, to the barrier. Pass this and at the next T-junction turn right. Then always straight ahead – past the Luther Cross and the Black Cross, erected in memory of the plague in Burgau – to the double barrier. Turn left and continue slightly downhill to a fork. Here turn right, past the Labonca–Sonnenschweineweide pasture, and at the next crossroads continue straight, past the house and after about 100 m turn left (barrier). Walk down a grass path to the Ziegelteich pond. At the fisherman's hut, turn right and continue uphill to the Holy Trinity Chapel and the pilgrimage church Maria Gnadenbrunn. On the church path, slightly downhill, then turn left into Heinrich Dalla Rosa Weg. At the next junction turn right and pass the Posch bakery, the fire brigade and the Eder artistic smithy, back to the starting point at Hauptplatz.
