On this route, we will delve into Asturias and then return to Galicia. Dream route, amazing landscapes, unknown and tough passes, the primitive way to Santiago, remote areas, hidden valleys. All this and more is what we will have on this route that departing from Fonsagrada takes us along a magnificent road to Grandas de Salime after a small bump representing the Alto del Acebo from this side. From Grandas we will continue descending towards the Salime reservoir, well worth stopping to contemplate the beautiful sight it leaves us over the Navia River. Crossing it we will face the Puerto del Palo from this side. A gentle ascent that soon allows us to look to the left at the beautiful Sierra de la Marta, which will accompany us all the way to Berducedo. Here in Berducedo we must deviate towards San Martín de Valledor. The first kilometers of little slope are of captivating beauty, with the last ones being steeper, here we must pay more attention. After reaching the valley, we will tackle the ascent to the Puerto de las Mujeres Muertas from this side. A route with very hard sections but which has resting spots, perhaps the final part is the most demanding, but the beauty of those last kilometers makes it more bearable as we feel very small in the majesty of this area. Descent by good road with some surprises before arriving at the valley. And already at the crossing we take to the right towards Fonsagrada. When we reach the reservoir, we will take left to face the last difficulties of the day. A short but steep climb to the Alto de Cuiña do Vilar; along the way we can stop at various places to contemplate the Navia River, which looks magnificent from this side. Descent and Fonsagrada through Vilagocende, its good kms but without exaggerated ramps that will leave us back in the center of the village. A HARD route in capital letters but majestic.
