Palmadula-porto Palmas-Argentiera-Palmadula

A medium-difficult route to do early in the morning or in seasons other than summer because you are constantly under the sun. Park the car near the church in the village of Palmadula, and take secondary dirt roads down to Porto Palmas, a beach located in a bay protected by two large breakwaters and made up of amber-colored sand. The place is enchanting, especially early in the morning before the bathers arrive. After leaving the bay, you must cross a pass to then descend to Argentiera, a former mining center now converted into a tourist area, where they have wanted to preserve the old, now dilapidated buildings from the past. After passing Argentiera, leave the coast to enter the Sardinian inland inhabited by sheep, goats, and dust... You will find the boundary after the last house: a fence and a gate, which must be closed after passing through. The place you will travel through is completely isolated; if you are lucky, you may find animals grazing. The road is clearly visible; there are a couple of steep sections, but they are short. I pushed my bike on the last stretch. At the top, you will be able to see the sea again. On the alternate maps of the dirt road, the start of a trail is indicated. I wanted to see if it was passable, even with the bike in hand, so I left the bike waiting, tried to walk a few hundred meters, but the shrubs almost completely covered the path, and there are no signs to help keep the trail, so I gave up and went back. Then you descend on a steep road until you find the paved road that goes down to Argentiera. You ride it in the opposite direction to return to the village of Palmadula.
