Rifugio Curò e Lago del Barbellino

Departure from the locality of Fiumenero, where it is possible to park, in order to cycle a few kilometers of warming up before starting the ascent. Once you reach Valbondione, take the mule track that immediately tests you with its slopes. About halfway up the ascent (area of the cable car departure serving the Rifugio), the toughest section begins, which is only partially rideable (without e-bike) and very uneven. The last stretch before the refuge is entirely carved into the rock and is ridable provided that you do not suffer from vertigo. From Rifugio Curò (mt 1895) to the natural lake of Barbellino, the gradient is minimal and the difficulty is only due to the uneven ground. Only in the last meters will it be necessary to push the bike. The return can be done entirely in the saddle, unless one decides, as in this case, to deviate towards the village of Maslana. Not everything will be rideable, but the scenery is worth the effort.
