Quick ride by bicycle from Vysehrad to Malá Strana

This scenic route takes you from Vyšehrad, an ancient fortress overlooking the Vltava River, to the charming Malá Strana district in the heart of Prague. You’ll ride just under 7 km, mostly on paved paths with a fun mix of smooth asphalt and historic cobblestones — it’s Prague, after all!

Leaving Vyšehrad, soak in panoramic city views and the legends of this hilltop site that predates Prague Castle itself. The route winds along mostly quiet roads and cycleways, keeping things relaxed. You’ll glide down towards the river, criss-crossing quaint streets and parks as you head north.

There’s a bit of up and down (with around 90 meters of both ascent and descent), but nothing too challenging. Finally, you’ll roll into Malá Strana, famous for its baroque architecture, cozy cafés, and the stunning backdrop of Prague Castle.
